Secrets are very important while working with any tool in an IT ecosystem. Secrets managements refers to the tools and methods for managing credentials (secrets), including passwords, keys, API’s and tokens for use in applications, services, accounts and other sensitive parts of the IT.
Running software requires credentials to access resources, to communicate with databases, to obtain encryption keys and also to access other services. It is hard always to supply credentials manually while running automation tasks.
