Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a secure cloud services platform, offering compute power, database storage, content delivery and other functionality to help businesses scale and grow. It provides a mix of infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Packaged software as a Service (SaaS) offerings.

Aws was launched in 2006 from the internal infrastructure that amazon.com built to handle its online retail operations. Aws is said to be one of the first companies to introduce a pay-as-you go cloud model allowing users to scale the compute , storage or throughput as needed. Aws Provides more than 100 services for the customers including compute, databases, infrastructure management, application deployment and security etc.
