Redhat OpenShift

So do you want to have your own website. Are you still worried about the cost and maintenance of the Server, database and other middleware components?. The solution to these is Cloud.

Managing application in cloud is increasing today. There are many features provided by cloud. We can get all the necessary resources in cloud for hosting our applications.

In this article we will discuss OpenShift, by Redhat.

If you don’t know what is OpenShift,
It is a free, cloud-based application platform for Java, Perl, PHP, Python, and Ruby applications.”

It uses GIT for publishing files to your site, the main concept behind this is that we develop our applications locally and commit files using git and then push them to OpenShift.

Git is a distributed revision control and source code management (SCM) system with an emphasis on speed.

OpenShift supports Java (with full AS7 support), Ruby, PHP, Perl and Python applications. In this blog we will see how we can work with OpenShift.

So, lets go one by one in learning OpenShift
